You have one of the new kegs?
No I don’t. They are just now starting to ship them out. I’m a ball lock guy though don’t think I will ever have one.
I've done a fair amount of testing with CO2 racking vs using the machine and I just don't think these small kegs last long enough to make a difference. I guess if you keep one for a month or more it could.
Same here. I’ve used both methods and see no difference, but I’ve never had a Pico keg last more than a few weeks, usually much less. I used it a few weeks ago to push a Z batch since I was running low on co2, I’ll let this one sit a while and test.
I’ve measured the pressure the Pico pushes at, its so low it won’t register on my gauge. I don’t see any way this produces more air exposure than something like a standard siphon from carboy to keg where both vessels are open to air.
