Does anybody have any experience brewing with pecan syrup? And how much to use for 5 gallon batches? I'm thinking less than 10% grist is good. The recipe I've created in beersmith has the entire bottle (25.4 fl oz) at about 7% but I'm definitely looking for pecan/hop balance.
Pilsner = 51.28
Pale malt, Maris Otter = 35.9
Biscuit = 5.13
Pecan Syrup = 7.69
3 oz Cascade = FWH, 60 min
2 oz Cascade = 25 min boil
2 oz Cascade = 15 min boil
1 oz Amarillo Gold = 10 min boil
1# 8oz = pecan syrup
yeast = unknown at this time

I'm going for a hoppy pecan pie pale ale
