I have a full size sankey of homebrew i'm carbing and i have some PBW in the beer line. Just wonder if there is any way it could get back in my keg and spoil the beer. Hopefully all sankey couplers have a check valve in them and or the pressure in the keg is enough to keep it at bay.

Would it be a good idea to pull the tap and bleed off the PBW and let it sit like that for a couple of weeks?

Thanks,
-Brad

Just undo the nut from the sanke coupler and drain the PBW out.

You really shouldn't let PBW sit in the beer lines. They should also be rinsed and sanitized after having PBW in them.

Well that's sound advice, I drained the lines and flushed with filtered water.

In the past I've purged it out with a pint or two and discarded them. I never really sanitized after using PBW, seems unnecessary to me. ...I'll probably start when something goes horribly wrong. lol
