My rustic keezer build

I scored this 7 gal freezer for $70 and found the aged tin and wood fence as lumber. Still not done but thought I would post my build at this point. This keezer is going upstairs in my man cave which has the short ceiling so there were clearance issues. Because of this I made the tap portion of the top fixed. The front portion removes for access to bottle beer and kegs. Currently I just have one keg, but added 3 holes for future taps as I acquire them. I plan on growing into this a keezer. Here is the finished product! Got 10 gallons in the fermenter just waiting to get co2 and regulator and fill my keg. I have room for 3 taps but only using one for the moment. The computer fans really help circulate air up to the top tower. I am pease with how this turned out.

Forgot to mention the top pulls off for easy tap line access. I used the old freezer lid for insulation. I now have my 120mm computer fans on a timer so they don't run continually.


At some point I'd like to figure out how to make the lid hinge. I bought some hidden hinges but had clearance issues and gave up on the idea. Thats pretty slick how you made the top slide off.

Is there enough room on the lip to mount drawer slides?

You mean like make the lid slide out? If so I'm not sure how the seal part would work.
