Cheap hydrometers!!!!

Maybe I'm becoming more carless as I get older, but I swear the bsg hydrometers seem like they are getting more fragile all the time. My first hydrometer lasted around six years. The last three have broke on me in a matter of three months! The latest one broke in my hand as I was wiping it off with a soft sponge!

I realize these are delicate instruments, but has anyone had similar issues? Is there a supplier out there that sells a better quality instrument?

I have a refractometer. It's okay, but I get tired of calibrating it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I am careful with it, but there have been one or two times where I was surprised that it didn't break or crack.
