    Brewed my First 2 Batches of Mead today

    Just got done cleaning up after a busy brew day, 5 Gal of a Pale Ale, and then 2 batches of Mead. It was my first time and I hope in 4 months or more they are doing good. I did a sweet mead and one that I will be adding raspberry too soon. Thanks for all the info I was able to gather from y'all.

    Oops, Burnt Extract

    Barley Wine did not carb

    I had a Barley Wine that dis not card after 3 months in the bottle. It was in primary for 1 month and 6 months in secondary. It is wonderful tasting and sweet with a great hop aroma and flavor, but no carbonation at all. What would you great brewers do? Thanks. John

    Priming Sugar for Barley Wine

    So my barley wine has been in the secondary for 2 months and its time to bottle it before I leave for Afghanistan for 6 months. I was wondering if you use less priming sugar for a barley wine than for a ale. Does anyone out there know how much priming sugar I should use. Thanks, John

    Too much yeast

    So is there such a thing. I have a starter and it looks like the yeast was bad, but tomorrow is my brew day, so can i just add two packs of dry yeast and not worry about the starter..... So can you have to much yeast for a big beer, like OG of 1.135?

    Got me a good beer fridge

    SWMBO just got a new french door Fridge, so I get the one that it only 4 years old. Now I can make my lagers all year(No Texas winters). I am so happy. This will also let me chill my beer before I bottle to clear them up. :mug:

    OOPS, Aeration

    I do not think I aerated this beer I made the other day. It was foaming over and I stopped, but it fermented and was going good. About 36 hours later it just stopped, and is at like one bubble every 30 to 45 sec. Help..... Can it be fixed, wait and see, ???? Its and Irish Red Ale...
