So I am brewing an Irish Red Malt Extract beer today......

Any tips for this beer, or additives that will make the final product better. I know the process, just looking for tips. I will let y'all know how it goes.

Without a recipe, I can only say keep an eye on your fermentation temp- you want your beer to turn out nice and clean, so keep that temp below 70 to make sure.

Irish Red Ale

Specialty Grains
.5 lbs Dingemans Caramel Pils
.25 lbs Briess Special Roast
.125 Digemans Biscuit
.125 Simpson's Chocolate

Fermentables
6 Lbs Gold Malt Syrup

Boil Additions
.5 oz Galena at 60 min
1 oz Ken Goldings at 30 min

and A dry yeast
Danstar Nottingham ale yeast

My go pick up a liquid yeast if so it would be Wyeast #1272 American Ale Yeast

I would use a 004 Irish ale yeast. That's what's in my Irish red in the primary right now. I've also got UK fuggles in there.

Thanks, for the help, I am using a Irish ale yeast now.

Starting to boil the water! so here come home brew number 2
