Anvil bucket fermenter lid not sealing?

Has any one ever tried to weld the lid to the bucket and add a 4 inch Tri clamp to the lid. I’m actually thinking about doing this, but not sure if it is financially feasible. It would certainly avoid this issue. Also could add a Tri clamp to pick up tube. If it’s doable financially, you could...

    Anvil pick up tube

I have a tube attached which connects to the keg. I do a closed transfer to keg, under a little pressure using CO2 (around 2 psi)

I can ferment an ale in my cellar. It's at 60 ambient and I have a Keezer which I can lager in. Do you think a smash would work?

    Radler

There are a few different radlers on the market here in Canada. I wonder if I can just brew a lager and add a couple of cans of grapefruit concentrate to the keg and rack on top before carbonating

    Violent wb-06

I have a Belgian wit fermenting now with safebrew t58 that got pretty violent. It took off within a couple of hours too, and by the next morning it was pushing the starsan out of the gallon jug I had my blow off tube in. I have never seen anything like it. Took a sniff when I replaced the blow...

    No sparging?

There must be something wrong with your calculations because there is no way you can put 4 gallons in your mash tun and end up with 4 gallons in your BK after first running. The grains are absorbing some of the water.

    adding fresh fruit juice

Good point, I could use Campden tablets. I know it would bring the abv down too. I have been drinking a few commercial beers lately that are 50/50 blends and they are pretty refreshing. The fruit flavor is very strong. I can't imagine it would have been added to the brew at any other point.

    adding fresh fruit juice

I would be drinking it right away. As far as fermentation goes, once it's in the keezer, it will be way to cold for the yeast to be active.

    adding fresh fruit juice

Really! No one here has ever done this?

    adding fresh fruit juice

Has anyone here ever tried to mix with fresh fruit juice in the keg. These raddlers that are being sold today say they are a 50/50 blend and some are pretty good.

    gravity samples

I ferment in my bottling bucket and use my spigot to draw from to get my gravity sample. I use blow off tubes so, I don't have to worry about anything getting sucked back into the wort. Anyone see any issues with this method. I always secondary to clear and cold crash. and I siphon into my...

    light summer drink

Thanks Brewkinger, I think this is the process I'm going to try. It's better to go with something that already works and tweak it from there. So I will try your approach, except with grapefruit. I will post back in a few weeks how it turns out. Wish me luck!
