I ferment in my bottling bucket and use my spigot to draw from to get my gravity sample. I use blow off tubes so, I don't have to worry about anything getting sucked back into the wort. Anyone see any issues with this method. I always secondary to clear and cold crash. and I siphon into my secondary. I do not go through the spigot.

My primary has a spigot as well. I use my spray bottle and spray starsan up into the spigot after every hydro reading. Usually I pulled 4 readings. OG, SG SG, FG

Each time spraying starsan.

I then prime bottles and fill straight from fermenter. Always spraying starsan prior to using spigot before bottling.

I haven't had an issue yet.
