    16 hours and no krausen on starter

    Denny's favorite 1450 and no sign of fermentation. Do I just keep it on and wait or did I miss it. There is no sediment on sides of flask either Dirty B.

    Have been trying to build a yeast supply. I have been doing this only because it easy and doesn't take a lot of time (just trying to do something brew related when in not brewing). When this batch drops and I'll post a pick. Is this counter productive and does it even make sense?

    I had my brew at 56 ambient temp, thermometer on fermenter read 67, my wife let the door open this morning and the thermometer read 78 when I got home. Bubbling came almost to a halt, is this a lost batch or can I try to bring temp down as quickly as possible?

    Hops in my mash

    I have been experimenting with hops in my strike water. I tried boiling them In and dropping g to mash temp, I also tried just taking them to mash temp. Lastly I tried just adding hops right to the mash. I put smoke and dried banana in my mash and it turned out pretty good. Any suggestions?

    Fruit dropped on bottling day

    I brewed an orange cream ale and I left it sit on the oranges and vanilla bean for 6 weeks, is this too long? Second when I picked up the carboy all the fruit started to drop. Should I give it a couple of days to clear again? By the way tastes really good!!!!
