Crystal Light to Back Sweeten??

Has anyone ever tried using Crystal Light apple flavored powdered drink mix to back sweeten a Cider? It uses Aspartame as a sweetener.

Any thoughts, concerns that anyone would have using this??

I would be concerned with all of the preservative/colouring/flavouring compounds that it most likely has in it, if you plan to bottle carbonate. If you're leaving it still/kegging it might not be too bad and would probably work to the same effect as an apple-flavoured lactose sweetner-thing. You could always try it with a small amount and judge for yourself!
 
Thanks for the reply. I will be kegging the Cider. Its a batch of Brandon O's Graff Cider and when I tasted the hydro sample today it seemed a little "Hot" and a little more dry than I wanted. I will probably keg it as is and try it again in a week or two to see how it's coming along before I do anything else with it.
