Zymurgy Article- Colonial Flip

Check out the article in the current Zymurgy...a friend of mine wrote it, and my simple Old Ale recipe is published in it...

The beer itself is quite good (i've since tweaked the grain bill a bit), but for the Colonial recipe I wanted to keep the grain bill as simple as possible.

As for making Flip...can't say I'd recommend it for flavor, but it was definitely fun.

I liked the article. I was thinking of trying it, but minus the pumpkin. The chunkiness doesn't sound appealing. I thought the picture at the end looked like it summed up the opinions of it pretty well.

that picture at the end is my wife...and yes, it does sum it up quite well. When we tasted with just spices added, it was pretty good...
