Hops add bitterness, do you want your beer to taste bitter???? I don't get what youre saying.

King: “Whaat is that?”

fredthecat: “This is a true beer (tm) that I have realllllly been into lately.”

King: “Please follow Sir Brad, he’s going to give you a private tour of the Pit of Misery.”

HBT Member: “Pit of Misery – Dilly-Dilly!”

Everyone: “Dilly-Dilly!"

OK, did you swipe my True Beer(TM) recipe for pink lemonade with industrial sludge and soot? Looks just like mine.

I'm sorry. I can not really comment on anything recipe related. I have been sworn by the High Council of True Beer (tm), and have been ordained in brewing with the True-ist of practice. I have been authorized to provide limited recipe and procedure details following the launch.

However I can assure you that I have adhered to the True-ist practices of brewing this accurate portrayal of the style. It is no way, shape or form, a "swipe" of any other beer then the absolute True-ist, of True Beers (tm)

Now, if you don't mind, I have a sacrifice to attend to, followed by prayer to the Gods of True Beer (tm)

The first rule of FredtCathheitsgebot is to not talk about FredtCathheitsgebot. :rockin:

I've been contemplating joining this thread, now it seems I have no choice. I have pre-filled the Pit of Misery with all the hops I could find. Besides, that's exactly where they belong - no True Beer (tm) aficionado would allow such vile hops to exist anywhere else. Dilly-Dilly!

I am not sure if anyone has used this before, but I was looking for something "lite" that I can use in my Pilsner-style True Beer (TM) lager. Plus, if you look on the product itself it can be used both for mash (wet) and dry boarding (dry).

It says it contains no Gypsum. I object, for that is not true drywall therefore will not make true True Beer (TM)

Over 450 posts, nothing but great info on True Beer (tm) if we top 500 the mods pretty much have to create a True Beer (tm) sub forum, none of that hocus pocus Lodo nonsense this is the REAL deal

On to more technology improving on already too notch True Beer (tm), I’m going to run extruebeeriments on using green board, the protective layer helps block o2 and UV light and protecting it from oxidation,it really locks in the delicate poly gypsuminols

I foresee a fail here.

TrueBeer, ( TM ), has always been kegged or cave kept.

No "addjunks" or protective layers for UV protection are tolerated by the Reinhowsyourboat.

Been watching a while -

Gotta love it.

"True Beer" snicker snicker.

Beer is, was, and always will be in a state of evolution.

Discovered by accident thousands of years ago in some form or other.

Through the millennia, people tried to find ways of making tasty ways of getting drunk.

They found better ingredients, made better ingredients, streamlined the processes, and in a pretentious move, someone decided what "True Beer" is? They arbitrarily decided at what point beer was beer? They need to put down their igloo cooler and store-bought malted barley and walk away.....

not a lot of action in here. Is everyone still waiting on their True Beer (TM) to finish up. Im planning on dry-drywalling mine tonight. I think i may end up double drywalling it though.

Glad to see we are back in business here.
Actually, in True Beer (tm) you WANT O2 exposure. It encourages the break down of the dry wall and provides a musty flavor that compliments pond water.

I would be careful trying to merge styles here, especially a NEIPA.
Can a NEIPA be True? Is it even Beer at all?

we also need to look out for the up and coming imperial session True Beer (tm), The tropical TB and of course the much anticipated 80 shilling-Baltic-Brett True Beer (tm).

I used 2 lbs. extra-dry drywall compound extract to boost GBV (gypsum by volume) in my drywall True Beer(TM). I pitched a starter made from belly button lint and toe jam in 1 liter of used aquarium water. Now it's fermenting nicely. It's my first True Beer(TM).

Just one question: If I use vodka in my airlock and I get suckback from cold-crashing, will I end up with a drywall screwdriver?

Or a White Russian?

....and to think I thought this was a thread discussing alternate methods for bittering beer. LOL
Turns out it's a Party! :mug:

No one has mentioned using drywall screws for holding the Gypsum in suspension whilst conditioning.

I've found, that using a tincture of Drywall Nuts alleviates this need, and removes some sharpness from the final product.......

What you're gonna want to do is lager it at ale temperatures. This is a new thing. There's threads about. You still have to call it a lager if you do this though, it's not the same if you call it an ale.
