OH WOW!!!
It just dawned on me that if I dip my hairless cat into my chilled dry wall wort it should turn out tasting like Simcoe with out using hops!
True Beer (TM) nirvana is close at hand!

I was going to suggest a no-rinse sanitizer, but depending on how you interpret "my yeast" in the Holy Recipe of True Beer (tm), you may not want to sanitize your......... cat.

So DWE?? What the F is that? That is fake brewing....another thread in of itself....no self respecting True Beer (tm) brewer is going to use DWE, that is just not True Beer (tm). Fake brewing!! And what the F is up with @inkleg 's cat? Is that a nekkid cat or a super small cow?

brew on :mug:

That's great information!
I think I'll do a Imperial True Beer (tm) and then do a Parti-gyle with the dry wall second runnings. I have more than one unsanitized cats running around here and can end up with two different True Beers (tm).

Since I am a stickler for accuracy, " Perhaps you could run a True ExBeeriment and post your results. The curious want to know.

Since you are a stickler for accuracy, what drywall crush should I use? Super fine crush, medium crush, chunky crush, high school crush, college crush or OMG! I shouldn't tell my wife crush? :mug:

Crush is not a matter of accuracy, but rather what works best in your process. Too fine a crush and you end up with a blob of mud. Too coarse and you don't get good flavor extraction efficiency (but drywall is cheap, so efficiency isn't really that important.) Usually takes some experimenting to find out what works best for you. (Also, flavor extraction from drywall is a complex dynamic process, with too many poorly understood variables, to build an accurate simulation model. At least at my skill level.) All that said, I would definitely avoid letting your wife find out about that last crush.

While goose and mallard water have essentially the same flavor, mallards are more symbolic of the True Beer (tm) movement. For as the mallard will interbreed with any duck it meets, driving other species into extinction, so True Beer (tm) shall cause it's believers to fornicate false beer into extinction.

no, No, NO! Goose is always the same, no matter the variety. Mallard, while beautiful, are w.h.o.r.e.s. They are not True Beer (tm).

Hopefully didn't get myself banned. :mug: :)

Does boiling a goose still generate mallard reactions?

I am afraid we are all being had. True Beer (TM) is nothing more than another one of InBev-ABs attempt to legitimize themselves as the True creators of Craft beer. The evidence I present clearly shows Anheuser-Busch has been utilizing the Mallard method all along. The acquisition of Goose Island Brewing was yet another attempt for them to cover their bases here, too. @fredthecat is simply a minion of the InBev-AB evil empire's plot consume all things True in our noble craft by distorting our perception of what True really is.

The source of drywall is the more important thing. Stay away from Chinese drywall. Even a 60 minute boil will not kill the bugs in it.

I know I’m just a 2015’er here but I tend to be old school and don’t care for hairless...cat. Real men drink True Beer and like furry...cats.

Isn't there a comment or thread about some poor brewer whose cat jumped into the brew bucket.....Unfortunately it had wort in it? Wonder how that came out?

I would suggest, instead of pond water with essence of goose, that Mississippi slough water, with essence of goose, duck, pelican and swan, only to be obtained twice a year during the migration, is used to make the champagne of beers....or is that already used somewhere?

So... is the date I joined this forum suppose to relate somehow to my brewing experience or knowledge level? What if I started brewing long before I connected to the Internet? ...or what if I joined the day the forum started and I only brew once every other year? I guess that’s the difference between a 100% grain beer and 130% grain True Beer = join date of this forum. 1 D 10 T

I went from page 1 to ... here. I skipped a bunch, but caught the grist on page 1 that other botanical were tried, besides hops. Has anyone tried Marijuana?

If I remember correctly, it was you and Al Gore who created the Internet, Yes?.......
For just this reason, that brewing science could reach the poor, unwashed masses.......

I mash my True Beer tm in an old oil barrel I scored at the landfill. I have rinsed it with salt water and left to dry to enhance some of the natural rusty elements of True Beer tm. I still prefer a smaller crush though, and usually opt to a cereal mash with the drywall. I also find that age on the drywall lessens the constancy of the mud, and produces a more complex flavor.

I disagree with the above in terms of experimenting. I feel you cannot accurately replicate these traditional style without using the traditional methods.

In homebrewing, you can do whatever you like, as we all know. However, True Beer is True Beer by tradition. I would hate to see pseudo true beers being marketed at the real thing.

You can never learn the True Nuance of True Beer if you skip.

Orange Crush.

True Beer can only use the original Ward's Orange Crush, with pulp. If you substitute Fanta or Sunkist, the corresponding coriander additions have to be adjusted.

Doesn't that really depend on your salt water profile, and current boil kettle beer stone levels? Not to mention hairless cat size?

What if InBev catches on that True Beer is spreading across the land and decides to market their own True Beer, or worse - pays FtC billions for his True Beer (after launch, of course).

We must sacrifice every second born cat to prevent this from happening. True beer TM must stay pure

I suspect the the Mississippi slough water is for Imperial True Beer (Tm)

True Beer can reach alcohol levels of 26%. I urge you to try before criticizing. Follow my methods that I have posted.

U wnot be dissaponted.

turbo yeast is derived from origanal belgian stains

Could be true or not, I don't know and given that you've written so many untruths in this thread, I'm not giving you the benefit of the doubt unless you give sources for this claim.

In any case, turbo yeast is used for fermenting sugar to produce ethanol for distilling. Does that job well. Doesn't do a good job of fermenting wort to make beer, though.

I believe the drywall, pond water and cat dipping tame the normally intolerable off flavors thrown by turbo yeast, but you do have to cycle the ferm temp between 90°F and 50°F at 6 cycles per day.
