Yep... But it's probably cheaper and easier to use Aluminum foil. ;{>

Yes, as long as you don't crimp it down tight, just sanitize and lay it over the top loose.

I just use a ziploc bag turned upside down. Never had an issue. Seal the ends a little.

Yea, and it works pretty good for yeast starters too
