I have a starter sitting in the frig in an e-flask. Will the yeast autolysis and be bad if they stay in the frig for a week? wyeast 2026?, Cal. lager.

It should be fine. Just keep it capped and out of the light. Ive had starters sit n the fridge for a week or so and they came out fine. As long as everything is sanitary youll be ok.

Just used my first starter that had been in the fridge for 6 days or so, plus it had been fermenting for 4-5 days before that. My LHBS guy said that I'd have no problem, once everything had been kept sanitary.

This morning the airlock was lying on the ground. I was going to blame the cat, until I realized that fermentation was probably the culprit. Cat was let go free. Bubbling resumed after an hour or so after airlock re-installation.

You will have no problem.
