Makes sense to let it warm up before waking but then again people pitch cold yeast with no problems.

I put it in a bowl of warm water to warm up and it swelled up tight in a few minutes. The cherry wheat started bubbling in a couple of hours, and was going wide open when I left for work this morning. Good stuff.
