Have a smack pack of Wyeast greenbelt strain that is refrigerated at 40 degrees, do I names to let this warm to room temp before smacking?

I always let them come up to room temp before doing anything with yeast packets.

I have smacked mine straight out of the fridge and then let them come up to room temperature.

The instructions suggest letting the pack sit for three hours after smacking, I assume if you are smacking straight out the frig you are waiting longer than three hours to pitch?

Nope. Normally, the pack is swelled up fully by three hours.
