The 'spay and neuter' propaganda at the top of the listing description alone is enough to make me pass on it, even if it was $2 instead of $2,000.

Did you see at the bottom of that listing what customers "also bought"? If I started spending money on my rock collection, I would tell my children to shoot me... now!

If I had that kind of money, I probably would. I mean, that's pretty cool.
But... I gotta wonder why the hand holding it is wearing gloves... If I wouldn't touch it with my bare hands, would I drink after it? (after enough beer the answer is yes).

I didn't even read it. Just looking at it and the price was enough for me to close the tab. WTF would they make it into a bottle opener? Stupid idea.

I can't believe I actually read that entire item description. I couldn't look away, it was like a train wreck. Whoever wrote that is a wacko! Even more wacko than whoever decided $2000 was the selling price.

To be fair, more has been spent on grilled cheese with mother Mary staring back at you in the form of greasy bread. Maybe if the opener had Jesus etched in it?

I guess you like the fact that there are hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats euthanised every year in this country because critters from unwanted litters are unable to find homes?

I try not to buy bottle openers. Everyone I have was either left here, a give away from something or came with something else I bought.

If you have enough to spend 2K on a bottle opener you should be helping get your respective country off of the fiscal meteorite :D

No, I don't like irresponsible breeding. But more so, I *HATE* people pushing an agenda on me and telling me what to do. While I was on our city Park Board, a citizen put a proposal in front of us for an off-leash dog park. I was 100% on board with her, until she read the part about "require all dogs to be spayed and neutered". There are several breeders of high-end hunting dogs in my area, and to me the concept of shutting off a public park to them because they didn't S&N their breeding stock didn't sit right. (Her logic was she didn't want any accidental breedings at the park. Yeah, that's fine... if your dog is 'in cycle', don't bring her to the park. Problem solved.) And at the time, I was considering studding my dog out (he has since developed epilepsy, and will be going in to get fixed in the next couple weeks)

I would assume it "smudges" very easily.

Edit: That or it's slightly radioactive :p

You do realize that the whole ebay listing is a joke right? I'm sure the seller would love to find a gullible buyer. But it is not the intent of the listing.

Not to hijack the lightheartedness of this thread, unaltered dogs (especially a female in estrus) have the potential to turn a dog park into a very volitile and dangerous place. Females in estrus don't typically start showing signs if it (discharge from you know where) until up to two weeks AFTER the cycle starts. So an owner could potentially bring a female into the park that is in season without knowing. Also, some females (my GSD for one), have very little discharge so it is difficult to tell...

I think if you spent most of your life searching for iron from space, in temperatures that can reach 100°, digging in hard ground, that if you could snag some newly minted millionaire to pay two grand for a bottle opener it would be hilarious.
