Would this work for fermenting 10 gal batches?

Looks nice, but for $44.20 each, you could buy 2 6-gal buckets with lids, stoppers, airlocks, and still have money left.

Of course, the footprint wold be smaller, so if space is the issue...
 
Lifting that much wort/beer is going to be a problem (unless you are built like the Hulk or don't need to lift), ~8lb/gal!

I brew 10 gal batches, split and ferment in 6.5 gal carboys/buckets. :mug:
 
I'm sure they would work fine, but at that price why not just split the batch into two 5 gal buckets which can be found super cheap or even free? I see used food grade jugs and barrels in a range of sizes for sale pretty often. I've considered getting some of the square 15 gal jugs from this guy. Not sure if something like that exists in your area though.

I actually prefer to split my 10 gal batches into two carboys because I can compare things like yeast strains or dry hopping techniques really easily and accurately.
