I recently made a batch which started growing mold (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=545730) on the whole hops I was dry-hopping.

I racked the beer out from under the mold and bottled it. I have noticed a little something funky on the top of the brew in the bottle. I have also had one friend tell me that the beer gave them the ****s....so there is that. I haven't gotten sick from it but plan to open another one tonight and drink it all (for research purposes of course).

I woke up in the night thinking that a steri-pen might help kill unwanted bacteria and make the beer safe without changing any flavor. Has this been done? Will this accomplish what I am hoping to accomplish?

Posting here as this stems from a sanitation issue.

Moldy beer may not hurt you, but killing the mold won't make the beer taste good. If it does taste ok, you can drink it if you want. But sanitizing it now by killing microbes won't improve the flavor at all.
