Well I just bottled (most of) my third batch and it is tasting amazing! I basically screwed up my first two batches, but they are drinkable. This one was done right - I steeped the grain correctly and had good sanitation. The beer is excellent right out of the fermenter - a perfect balance of sweet and bitter flavors. I will definantly be making this again. Check this out if you get the chance.

Muntons Dark DME 3 lb
Muntons Amber DME 3 lb
Crystal 1/2 lb
U.S Northers Brewer Hops @ 6.5% 1 oz.
U.K Kent Golding Hops @ 5.5% 1 oz.
Safale4 s-04 - dry ale yeast 11.5 g
50 Min boil with Northern Brewer, finish with Kent Goldings (half the kent @ 10 min, other half @ 2 min)

Best news is that I now have a full stock of HB!

Nice one. Time I did an extract again I think. Spent 9 hours today doing my first lager mini-mash... Looks like diarrhoea and missed my OG by a mile!

That closet looks awfully similar to the one in my apartment...

I believe that is the minimum amount of beer required to have in your closet to attend OU! ;)
