Quick question about Melovino.

Can you only visit and taste meads if you take a tour? Like, I don't mind taking the tour, but you have to book them online in advance, and they're all booked up for the weekend. I'd still like to taste some meads if possible. Is that a thing you can do, or must I take the tour? Like, what if I've already taken the tour in the past? Do I need to take it every time I go?

I tried calling them, but nobody answers. Plz advise.

jtclockwork would know!

Oh here we go, they just responded to my Facebook message and said:

"You can come in any time during our business hours for sample pours and flights. We just don't promote it because we're normally busy with production work during the week. At our new location we'll have actual tap room hours Thursday thru Sunday though."

So there you go.

They supposedly have some days when you can buy mead by the glass, but I don't know when those are. Otherwise, yeah, you have to book it and take the tour.

Sometimes Facebook isn't a total cesspool.

Def not this weekend - its anniversary weekend and we have a sitter and local plans. But pretty free the rest of the summer. I'll definitely give you a heads up

The Referend added Thur. and Fri. hours!? wooooo!!! thanks James! Jspriest
You bet. I'll be behind the bar for these weekday hours, then back to catching up on production work most Saturdays. Which is to say: come say hey!
Is there Referend kid-friendly? I'm dying to go but would most likely have to drag along the 3 year old and the 3 month old.
Definitely. I mean, we're not going to serve them, but we welcome their presence.

I noticed that you tagged his IRL name, and not a username. You should probably invite him to join Talkbeer. He seems like he enjoys beer. Perhaps he would enjoy talking about it on the internet. Just a thought.

I don't know him well but he is pretty active on the NJ beer Facebook groups.
