when is the Twin Elephant anniversary? And I'd gladly meet up with any of you fine gents there. It's not far from my house and I enjoy their beers

Can anyone comment on the child friendliness of Twin Elephant, both from a staff and a location perspective?
Just fine regarding staff. Keep an eye on the little bugger(s) and no one cares.

If you have a stroller or anything like that, space is limited inside, so I would suggest not bringing one in, if possible.

Bring your own food too!

Anyone end up hitting the TE anniversary?

Had a pretty good time and apparently if you charge a cover at the door you can serve food since it's technically a "private party".

Now, I’ve enjoyed Magnify’s beers from time to time over the last few years. But I commented on their Instagram page today that their $8-9/ 7oz pours (dropping their pours by 1 oz for certain beers seems chintzy btw) were steep (equivalent of $72+ /4 pack or growler). Instead of responding they deleted my post. Then I mentioned that they deleted my post and they deleted that post also. In summary, they’re douches.

I commented on some of The Veil's posts about "this is the best batch yet" for the 5th time and their triple fruited beers with active fermentable sugar in them, which is a serious hazard to safety and they were all deleted. There's like this IPA illuminati out there that just wants to pump out gloopy IPA, 3% fruit milkshakes for 20$ a 4-pack and pastry stout and it seems Magnify has joined those ranks.

Yale Terrace deleted my posts and blocked me this weekend.

For what it’s worth, Magnify wasn’t charging $1+/oz for their IPAs. It was for the 12-15% stouts and barrel aged beers.

My fault for assuming the beer style. Still seems a little bit high, particularly for anything that wasn't barrel aged.

They charge what they charge. I still think it’s high for the stouts but I was more annoyed by the deleting my posts rather then responding to them.

yeah i agree with you guys. i wasn't really defending them, just mentioning the prices i saw. definitely not a fan of them deleting posts due to that sort of critique.

welcome to TB?

hi os! Signed up a while ago but haven't really posted at all, so i guess the welcome is in order. Listened to you on StealThisBeer a few times, enjoy your outlook on things!

They will delete anything that is taken as being even remotely critical, even if it's either an honest observation or something meant to be constructive. This is the kind of behavior that just feeds into the reputation.
