and Maple
Fermented on toasted cacao nibs, peanuts, and fresh strawberries and then aged for 18 months in a bourbon barrel that once held bourbon, then maple syrup, then honey, then hot sauce, then vanilla beans, then Nyquil, then caramel, then hershey's syrup mixed with wine, then bourbon again. Dry hopped with citra lupulin powder, mosaic hop dust, and the thought of galaxy hops

I think the only people who were there buying bottles are in this thread.
As some of you already know if I wasn't 7 hours away these guys would probably need a restraining order against me but honestly their products aren't super "accessible". Meaning someone walks in expecting IPAs and stouts and gets a pour of something still served by gravity and they might not be ready for that. On the other hand I think people that are more in to the scene just don't know yet. I figure that is the only logical explanation cause this **** dope AF. I hope the use of CO2 will help get people in there. To me this is the most interesting thing happening right now in beer and I am trying hard to stock up on whatever I can.

I have already asked for Friday Dec 1st off work so I get down there to show them some love for their 1st anniversary, not sure if they plan on doing anything special but it will be very special for me just to be there so I hope you all can join me as I would love to meet and drink with everyone :)

Can you please share the link for this Eventbrite release?

I’ve been going to Kane since Mike’s wife was working the bar.

We live in a highly populated area with a lot of entitled people.

Sign me up! But be prepared for my incessant bitching when I don't win the raffle/presale/razzle.

Kane and Troon sell out every release, meanwhile I walked into The Referend and I think the only people who were there buying bottles are in this thread.

if only Referend was an easy drive...

Heard from someone that it was tannic and almost sour. Someone else posted it was really nice. WHO DO I BELIEVE!!!???

Depends who the other guy is.

But from the bottle I split with 3 other people last night, which I sipped slowly over the course of about a half an hour, I would say that it was certainly not sour. Like, not even close. Didn't even approach being sour. Beyond sourness reproach.

I guess there was a very slight tannicity (I wasn't expecting to use that word today), what with a portion of the blend having been aged in red wine barrels, but it certainly wasn't the least bit unpleasant. I found the cognac BA component to be the most pronounced, especially as it warmed, but overall it was a pretty well-balanced beer that I enjoyed very much.

Hey guys --

Over in the NYC thread, we discussed a potential brewery/bar crawl. I am going to be putting this together and am x-posting here, as many of you are close by/just a train ride away.

If you are interested in a meetup, I ask that you please fill out this form:

http://bit.ly/2xxOWQo

*Jan-Feb are being targeted so we don't conflict with the craziness of the holiday season.
*SB Weekend/all Saturday NFL playoff games were taken into account when choosing potential dates.
*PM me with any other questions/comments/concerns.

That being said, thank you but I have to be a game time decision no matter what given you just never know schedule wise with the little guy.
