Hello there!
I'm a very new brewer with one batch of an Oktoberfest under my belt. I have the following ingredients here and I'm wondering what I could brew next.

12 lbs of Golden LME
3 lbs of Golden DME
1 lb of crushed Briess Caramel 40
2 oz of Cascade hop pellets
Open to buy any extra ingredients as needed

I'm using a Midwest bucket system and I am subscribed to Brewers Friend as well. Not big on super hoppy brews but I do enjoy porters, wheats and Marzens!

Also, I'm only able to ferment at around the mid to upper 60's at the coolest.

Thanks for any help/ideas in advance.

Cheers!
Paul

Sounds like a decent start to a cascade hopped pale. get you some safale US-05 yeast. Play around with the measurements on those extracts and there ya go. I'm afraid I'm not much help with the amounts. Focus more on the late adds for the hops and you'll be set. Definitely throw some of that 40l in for color and body furing these winter months. Maybe 4-8oz for a 2 gallon batch all of it for a 5 gallon one.

Batch size? 5 gallon? Pale ale.

6 lbs golden lme
steep the briess caramel 40
1 oz Cascade - 60 min

1 lb. Golden DME
.5 lbs. 40L Steeping
1 Oz. Cascade 60
