The wife and I are planning a trip with some friends to go to Vegas in October.

What are some beer-related (brewery, bar, etc..) places we must visit while we're there?

What are some non-beer-related places we must visit while we're there?

None of us have ever been before.

It's Vegas. Don't go with an itinerary. There is more to see and do in Vegas than any one person has time for in one trip.

This being said, make sure to go to at least one Vegas show while you're there. And visit both the strip and old Vegas, the contrast between the two is pretty cool.

Have fun!

Agree with the above.

The Pub in the Monte Carlo has a nice tap lineup and if you're near NYNY, there's a little standalone bar called Pour 24 where you can quickly grab a good beer while wandering around and doing your thing.

Haven't been in awhile, but 777 at Main Street Station (downtown) was always awesome.

I adore the Cosmo, both the Bond Bar, the Chandelier, and the Wicked Spoon buffet is outrageous- go hungry.

Get a yard long margarita, walk the strip, see all the touristy shows, it's actually a blast.

Have a great trip.

Tram takes you the whole length of Las Vegas Blvd, from the Wynn to Tropicana Ave, and the monorail (station is at the Excalibur) takes you all the way up Tropicana. Easy way to get around.

And if you have more than 4 people, a limo is the same price as two cabs.

I guess since the wife is going hookers and blow are out of the question?

Of course maybe she rolls like that!?

Check out Ellis Island, it's a little dive off the strip on Koval. They make their own beer, it's not great but not bad, and free if you play. They have an incredible BBQ that they fire up later in the afternoon.
The café is pretty good with n old school American menu and super inexpensive.
If you are lucky they will be brewing when you are there, you can pretty much watch the whole operation.

A couple of years ago the wife and I went to Vegas, we actually spent little time in the casinos, but did spend a fair amount of time at Banger Brewing on Freemont street. They have some of the best infused beers I ever had, Jalapino(?), Coffee infiudes stout, and an amazing cucumber kolsch. We also checked out Sin City brewing and Big Dog brewing.

If you make it up to the old strip on Fremont St. (which I found cooler than the "real" Strip), Banger Brewing is on one end right next to the Heart Attack Grill. We chatted up the brewmaster and he brought us some free samples when he found out I was a homebrewer.

Beer related, Banger brewing, pretty good beers, nice people. main street station, get your beers at the casino bar, $1.75 for a pint. only 4 or 5 styles available. Long bar in the "D" has some good craft beers. Joe IPA was pretty darn good there. Ellis island was mediocre at best, but the food was cheap and decent. See some shows. The dream at wynn was amazing. any cirque du soleli shows are good too .Go see the hoover dam. rent a car. much better than public transportation. There is so much to see there. have fum.
