Yesterday, it was a perfect day in upstate NY...mid 70's and sunny--and the perfect brew day.

I brewed a Pliny all grain clone.

The grain mill didn't jam once.
I didn't have a stuck mash
I hit my numbers right on in every way
Nothing boiled over
I siphoned with almost no trub into the fermenter
I pitched a huge decanted starter of WLP090 (San Diego Super Yeast)
I canned 7 quarts of starter wort with the planned runoff

I was almost in tears...finally, a perfect brew day.

Ha. I love this.

Took me until batch #36 to have a "perfect brew day".

Other than breaking my last (ever) glass carboy yesterday, everything went pretty much perfect. It is a nice feeling.
