I bottled my Four Peaks Kiltlifter clone, but not without a little excitement. The hose attached to my bottling bucket knocked over a bottle which produced a domino effect downing about 15 bottles. Fortunately, only one broke. I really need to move on to kegging.

Made a rib cage immersion chillier for $9

Finished and top is in line with 6 gals which is perfect for my batch sizes

Technically yesterday as it is 1am here. Got off my 12 hr shift and bottled the IPA2 morebeer kit I brewed on the 17th of last month. Damn it was good to, it'll be hard to wait for the carb.

I bottled my Spiced Winter Ale. After that, racked cider to secondary and added spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin spice aged in vodka). Feeling a little unsatisfied, i sat down and popped open one of my ice cold hard ciders....satisfaction achieved :ban:

Had a home brew demonstration at my place. We brewed a DIPA (kit), SMASH Ale (mini mash kit) and Dunkleweissen (BIAB) learning from each other. Had great weather, great friends and good food.

Had fresh brats, smoked venison sausage, bacon wrapped quail and bushel of fresh oysters. The ladies enjoyed some home brewed pear wine.

Thankful for days like these :)

Gotta clean some more bottles yet. Writing more of book 2 of my Time Lords 2034 series as well. The home brewing book's done & on my Kindle page per the link below.Busy busy. Gotta fix the car yet though. Wish my back & hips weren't messed up or it'd be done already.

Gravity readings on cider, graff and cyser...

Had previously stabilized the cider and graff and did that for the cyser as well. Also prepared some spices for the cider...they're steeping in bourbon now, and in a couple days will filter the bourbon and add to the cider...need to backsweeten as well (probably brown sugar) and then it will be into the keg.

I added some dry hops (I should actually say I added a $h!tload of dry hops -- 3.5 Oz of Nelson Sauvin) to the graff...that should make it into the keg about the same time as the cider....

Spent some quality time with my kegs. I replaced all the o-rings. Found a cpl bad o-rings then pressure tested them.

Yesterday, I popped my new 2L flask into my homemade stir plate just to get a feel for how well it would work in prep for putting a starter together on Thursday.

The bar got thrown constantly, and when I went to add another two magnets, the ones already on there pulled off the washer! They obviously didn't have a very good bond with washer (I used old super glue), so I have to get some better glue today and try to fix it up. Ugh.

Yesterday cleaned and sorted equipment.

Today starting on a right angel blow-off tube for the Fastferment conical. Got a spare 1/2 quick release so I might incorporate that rather than clamp it in place each time.

Turns out I didn't have the flask centered on the stir plate, which is what was causing the throwing of the stir bar. I centered the magnets and found the center of the flask, then lined them up. Bingo!

Learned how to bottle from a force carbed keg.

Just transfered to secondary my mad elf clone onto cherries can't wait wlp530 took it 3/4 of the way thru fermentation already was sitting at 1.028 suppose to finish at 1.019 started at 1.101 sample tasted amazing for sitting at 9% already

Bought ingredients for a honey pale ale I'll brew this weekend with a buddy who's bringing over 4 pounds of raw honey from his own hives.

Got my Pliney kit organized for brewing tomorrow. Was going to wait till my ferm chamber was done, but apparently there is a veeeery slow boat China they put my parts on.

Had to fix the comp again this morning so I could split time between y'all & book two of my sci-fi series. And the main character is a brewer, so does that count?

Who is your boss and how do I get him to send me such equipment for free?

I brought in a growler of brib-beer-y one day and he was impressed. Then mentioned said uncle who is into home brewing, etc. Turns out the guy is at deaths door (nothing to hope for on people) and since he is in charge of cleaning out the guys place, instead of tossing the equip he offered it to me. I just wish this happened before he destroyed the 20-30some glass carboys. I also heard something about a possible kegerator and spare dorm size fridge, some copper things (created by the brewer, probably for liquor production), as well as who knows what else.

Getting ready to wash some yeast (wlp090) from the stout I bottled Sunday. Hope three days in a closed fermenter isn't too late...

Today, I chopped up an old heavy-duty wood pallet, nailed on some some legs, and created my first brew stand.

I also made a small mill station, also out of scrap wood. Nothing is permanent, just temporary solutions.

Cleaned and sanitized 3 cornies. Not exactly a glamour filled achievement but an important one.

Come to think of it I also picked up a few dry yeast packs and some Roast Barley and Victory malt. Not that I had an exact plan in the works with that combination. Just couldn't bring myself to walk out of the store with only 2 yeast packs. It'll get used I'm certain of it.

Drank beer out of my half full keg, while planning what to fill it with...

In a related note I need more kegs and carboys...

Pulled 2 kegs from the kegorator and cleaned them. Cleaned my lines and fawcets as well.

Going to keg 2 beer tomorrow. It's been quite awhile since I've had homebrewed beer.... I've been going through withdrawls...

Showed my friend how to make a starter I'm letting him barrow me and swmbos equipment for his first AG batch.ImageUploadedByHome Brew1416033555.381146.jpg

Picked these puppies up yesterday. Really contemplating drinking The Abyss tonight as it is the 2013 release.

Racked 6 gal each of my Buzz Bomb IPA & Bitter Chocolate Stout into 4 3 gal kegs. Half of each batch is keg conditioning & the other is being force carbed.
Also cleaned up all the carboys & equipment used in racking.
Up next is racking my Gingerbread Ale to secondary.
