What disease is this?

Just wondering what it is and what I can do to prevent this next year, other plants don't look effected, cut this one down to prevent spread. Lot's of little white mites all over the entire plant as well. 2nd year cascade.

Thanks, that is indeed what it seems to be. Do you know what the health hazards would be if a couple infected cones made it through my pickings?

Well, it'd be tough on the aphids

But a little moldy aphid poo isn't going to kill anyone...

So I'm in the process of drying a few cones, I guess the aphids really had their eyes set on one of the cones, went to the basement and thought wow that is one fuzzy looking hop ...... than the fuzz started to move.
