I really don't like the choices at my LHBS, so I always smoke my own malt.
I think the Surgeon General is trying to discourage that... although I believe it's legal in all 50 states.

As for me, I got 10 feet of new silicone tubing for racking and bottling to make sanitizing easier, a box of wingnut clamps to make sanitizing easier, and a quart of Star San to ... well, make sanitizing easier.

Blow-Tie Spunding Valve and 6# of Crabapples for 12BOC 2021, Crabapple Lambicky Ale.

Not from the same place.

and since I've seen @bracconiere post about his scale so many times,

i think you'll love it. just casual glance when pouring. 0.1 is a 6 pack, and the suns gravity is 0.4oz...but you'll know for sure if you lose even an ounce overnight.

(works great for burst carbing too, i find 1.2oz's into the keg, and it can be on tap in couple hours, or when cold. YMMV on that, sometimes i seem to have more protein and it takes overnight to settle)

edit: wait that box says i can set this thing to grams? now i gotta see that ! that would be awesome!

edit: #2: holy jesus, it does...i have 18kg512g's with regulator and stuff....damn now i can have fun watching it go down for every other pour 1 gram, lol now if anything even burps in the kegerator, i'm on it!

edit: well i put a 5gram weight on it it registered 6 gram increase...still say for $25 and 110lb load limit pretty good. but it is less acurate without weight on it. so don't tare it.

Ditto, but not as much. I brewed yesterday, so I got a starter going on Wednesday.
There was no action as of Thursday morning so I put in an order for a pack of SO-5. It arrived soon after I finished up brew day. Tossed that pack in along with some of the starter for good measure.
|Not much going on yet, but it is cool down there. I won't worry unless I get to Monday with nothing.

New forward sealing stainless faucets with flow control and the newish Tapcooler counter pressure filler that attaches directly to your tap. Here is the video of it if you want to check it out

Got my @inkbird infrared thermometer from Amazon. It's a good deal at $23, and it's an even better deal if you take the offered 27% discount by clicking the coupon and using the Inkbird discount code in the Sponsor forum.

It's a hefty little brute, and I expect to get a long and happy life out of it. And it comes with a 9v battery, too.

Nothing! Which is odd, because I ordered over $60 worth of grains from Morebeer 8 days ago yet haven't got a single email about the order. I left a message inquiring about this and hope I don't have to reorder. Oh, well... C'est la vie

Yesterday my Mark's Keg Washer II came in the mail. I haven't opened it yet, but I am looking forward to automating some of the keg and carboy cleaning. Any advice on the operation of this new toy?

A BIAB bag which I will be using in my BIAP (AIO) kettle to brew my first all grain beer. I will use the BAG as a socket to the grain basket, only during mashing, as an insurance against pump failure. This thing is late... did not receive it yet!

Also waiting from China (Aliexpress) a 0,5 micron aeration stone for my oxygen cylinder which is waiting for it. I will also experiment with it with CO2 for the next bottling session.

In the meanwhile, I bottled today and I will distill a couple of stripping run tomorrow. Waiting is the boring part of the hobby.

Sorry to hear that. That isn’t consistent with the order I just placed. I placed an order late in the day on the 12th and it was on my doorstep on the 15th from the California warehouse to northeast Colorado.

Edit:
I will note that is the fastest service I’ve ever received from them. I had a 3 1/2+ week lag on a couple orders last summer.
