Brewed a wheat beer today. After I cleaned up I dropped my spent grains off at a friend's for composting. He gave me a Fat Tire in return.

How did you like that, Nick? That’s become a fairly popular beer around here. The brewery’s website lists the ingredients. Nine (count ‘em) nine different malts, plus honey, in the grain bill. I think it’s a decent Scotch Ale but there are better ones.

I thought it was pretty good. I haven’t had many scotch ales to compare it to and couldn’t say if it was good, bad or otherwise as far as style… it was a good beer.

Spent the weekend in Savannah, GA for my Wife’s 30th. Many beers and cocktails were had. Such a fun city.

This Finnish Seltzer, Long Drink, was actually really good. I had one on recommendation from my brother who just got back from a 6 month deployment to Poland and Finland.

I pitched yeast on these split batch beers on Friday, and they appear to be done. Kveik is pretty awesome!

And now I’m enjoying a hard cider.
