Rye IPA courtesy of @mullett6577. First time I recall having a rye IPA. I’ll exploit a different cat this time, life imitates art. Ziggy imitating our garden statue.

11 pages behind, ugh...not gonna go through all these *CHEERS*

More Belgian Dark doing mead research. Mine have always been mediocre. Maybe because I can't wait an entire human generation to drink them?? 🤔

Note: They mentioned using FedEx to ship to each other, on a public media forum. How times have changed eh, @TwistedGray?

All fun and games until you get caught...

Getting my Belgian (Canadian?) fix while browsing Belgian Mart trying to convince myself not to spend some money.

You live once! 3- Westvleteren 12's and a glass with shipping was only 135...😁

HB Hefe.. trying to kick the keg but not hard enough I guess. This was the best Hefe I've ever made even at 5%. So crushable

Please send it my way,,,,(the rain I mean).
It wasn’t nearly enough, but we’ll take everything we can get at this point. We’re so far below normal right now. March, April and May are typically 3 of our wettest months and so far we haven’t had squat. When we only get 16” per year, we need everything we can get.
OT
I can say with 100% certainty, that my hazy is much better than this one. Same hops and all.

Went to put more nutrients in the Mead and found the freezer at 89F. The plug had slightly slipped out of the new temp controller. Hummm... hopefully it was only for a short time. Anyway need beer so Classics it is...

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I like the 8 better than the 12. No Westie glasses in stock either, but a Rochefort would be close enough for me.

I have the recipe for W-12 which came out better IMHO. Can't help you with the glass though.

“Our Modern West Coast IPA brings all the hallmarks of West Coast clarity and drinkability, while adding Modern East Coast hop aroma and lowered bitterness. No. 7 in the series is brewed with Mosaic hops for tropical and fruity aroma, as well as Simcoe and Centennial calling back to classic piney West Coast character. This beer will constantly evolve as we experiment with the style.”

Enjoying a glass of the APA that I stupidly ran into a dry hops keg that was missing the dry hops. Turned out nice, but 8oz of Falconer’s Flight will do that to a beer.

I wish I wasn’t so reluctant about using Falconer’s Flight and subsequently used it more. Sure it’s a blend, but it’s a really, really good blend!
