Short pour of what's left of my FIRST HB imperial stout (9.4%abv). Kegged on 12/20/20. Conditioned VERY nicely though over the course of its lifetime. But now thinking now on how I want to tweak recipe to improve it.

I didn’t know the answer to that until I googled it. Yes, apparently it is a thing. Michelob has a lime/prickly pear beer. The pads and fruit are quite tasty according to the interwebs. I don’t have much desire to harvest any however. I’ve had plenty of the needles in my knees, hands and back side while hunting and other outdoor activities in the pastures of my area.

Yeah "prickly pears" are a nightmare to work with!!

They provide a subtle flavor of ... prickly pear? Actually, I don't know how to describe it, but perhaps it's something like a kiwi mixed with dragon fruit? They have huge seeds in them, too, that you can crunch on : ) ...unique fruit...

...one of my favorite fruits : )

Tying flies is thirsty business.
This crowler was a road trip gem I grabbed in Casper, WY.
Mountain Hops is a 3BBL brewery.
This hazy is called 8th Wonder(of WY) with Citra/Mosaic/El Dorado DH
I asked the brewer if he fruited it. Nope
He also had a blood orange Wit that was ridiculous.
Cheers!

One I've had before, and a different picture. Trying not to forget....

Almost 90% of the town that set Canada's hottest spot ever recorded this week (46.6ºC / 115.8F) has burned to the ground by a wildfire that might have been intentionally set... sigh... Happy Canada Day?

Cheers to Lytton.

Got to say, I don’t like this one from trillium. I’ll drink them out of spite of a 17 dollar four pack.

From my LHBS. Held all the bags of grains and hops for an Allagash Saison clone (BYO, if you want the recipe I can send it)

I have it actually.

Your kinda beer here. Kicked ass at work this week and earned it.

The real reason I went to Trillium today. 3 bucks for a 330ml wild ale from Trillium. Picked up a bunch. Might go back and grab more!!! It’s the best deal you’ll find there. The hazy bois and fruit bois keep the price of Trilliums best beers at a great value.

Love it I grew up tying flies with my grandpa we would go see what was on the water and then go tie some flies and break out the flyrods. Good times.
