I spent the holiday weekend in the big city of Charlotte with my wife for a little anniversary stay-cation. Hit a couple breweries and tap rooms. Not many pics. Got back to my little piece of heaven yesterday and proceeded to crack @TwistedGray Apricot Sour. Probably my favorite from him so far.

Today I cracked the first of my “light” lagers and I believe I nailed it. Warm fermented with 34/70. 3.2% abv and quite “crispy” even at only a week in the bottle. Another week of conditioning and some time in the fridge and it should be great.

HB Guinness Draught clone. I’m getting closer with every try, but still so far away. This is close but a touch too dark still. It will be interesting to see if my new Irish malt and British roasted make a noticeable difference.
Golden wheat fields in the distance.

I've had pretty good luck with the warm ferments, 🍻

It's Tripel Time! HB from c. Thanksgiving 2019. Hasn't changed much in the bottle, (not bottle conditioned so unsurprising.) No oxidation though so that's a good thing! Sweet & spicy nose like banana bread, a little apple, grape and something almost tropical. Flavor isn't that bad, only knock is the alcohol bite and astringency in finish. I actually like it. Disregard the P71 staring longingly at the beer.
