Sliver of Credit from Southern Grist after doing yardwork in the heat

The trick to a nice ruby color in a red is about 2oz. 500 °L roasted barley for a 5 gallon batch.A HB that was supposed to be a Red Ale. Kinda red when held up to the light but not so much otherwise. Looks more like a amber ale. Great taste tho.
Appreciate the tip. I will try that on the next one for sure. The trick to a nice ruby color in a red is about 2oz. 500 °L roasted barley for a 5 gallon batch.![]()

Since it was going to hit the mid-90’s today we decided to do our hike early. So we were up at 5:30am, kids up shortly after and on the trail by 7:15am to beat the heat. Our youngest (7) did some great rope climbing up some falls and we were so proud of her! So we stopped for ice cream for lunch for the kids and beer and a meal for my wife and I (thus the Sam Adams).
I pulled out a nice sour (Rare Barrel) to share with her after we got back to celebrate. Thanks @CTownBrewer for that delicious bottle (probably a previous FotD trade or side trade).
Then onto the Other Half “Freaky Friday” beers!
I can’t wait for many more years with my wonderful wife who makes fun of my beer obsession. Haha
Congrats! My 13th is in OctoberToday my wife and I celebrate our 13 year wedding anniversary.
