I’m going to finish my brew day with a classic. I hope to be able to brew an IPA like this one day. To me, Celebration embodies the style of American IPA. I look forward to it every year, even if it might be old fashioned.

Too much coffee. I know little about espresso, but I'm always shooting for that creamy brown quality from the Bialetti pot. Costco organic whole beans--whichever one they're featuring--and hand-foamed whole milk.

A beer that won an Honorable Mention at the CA State Homebrew Competition in early November. This is one of 10 evaluation beers made identical except with which yeast was used. This is WLP006. Could have done better had it not been an eval beer, as there were no hops for flavor or aroma - just early hops to balance the malts. It will get redone with late addition hops once I can get more WLP006.

My wife is having this sour but I had to have a sample. When it was fresh it was blue in color but now it is really grey. No off flavors for this beer but wow the appearance is not appealing!

Picked up a 4-pack of this to share (and other beers) with some family and friends who will be over shortly to celebrate our daughter’s 7th birthday.
