Is that a heat stick you’re using in the GF.

I have version 1 of the grainfather and bought a heat stick off HBT. Best thing I ever did. Cut my ramp times down big time. The first time I used it I had a boil over (not paying attention). If you have a grainfather and are considering it I highly recommend it! Definitely saves time during your brew day and you can have a violent boil if you so choose.

Woooooo! Smells like red velvet cake. It’s a sweet stout that is good but too sweet for me. Supposedly 9% ABV but you can’t tell. It is hidden well. Thanks @JamesonFan

Actually pulled that in to show the chip bowl was the same size as the marg! My wife had a non-marg drink in that skinny glass. Also pounded another one before we left!

Pumped out all wort at sparge stage and added sparge water slowly without raising the grain basket. Pumped out after wort filtered through. Dug out half the grain after once half the sparge water was done, sparged with the rest of the water and let it drain. Pumped out wort to bucket. Removed grain basket and returned all the wort for boiling. Redic OG as result.

Sounds similar to what i do. Im normally around 80%(all time high of 84% last batch)
