Just finished my second beer from the Muskoka Brewery Hoptorial IPA Sampler Pack.

Mad Tom IPA. 6.4% ABV and 64 IBU.

While I think I could spend an evening drinking Detour (lightest beer in the sampler pack), Mad Tom is a bit too much to drink more than a couple.

I just picked up some. Bottled in july so super fresh. Last time it wasnt too hot. Though i do not feel the alcohol burn. Might open on too

I remember back in elementary school. Wild fire smoke from the Mexico peninsula was over Texas. The sky was just grey with the smoke. Little sun and no recess. That sucked lol

I got a fantastic Zythos pale ale. I am glad I hid this in the back of the fridge, but now that it is on, it won't last long! I just tapped another keg that is the same recipe but with Willamette and it is equally fantastic

It's strange heavy spice smell but not on the taste, it's ok

I figured what I would roll on my own would taste like crap. I was pleasantly surprised. Certain leaf I prefer over others and I'm still learning, but it's nice knowing exactly what you smoke. The last blend I rolled had a bunch of toasted marshmallow with cocoa and some black licorice popped in the last third. This blend I'm rolling tonight should be really strong, not sure exactly how they will smoke yet but I will find out in a week or two

Twice as Mad Tom. 8.4% ABV and 71 IBU.

This beer might not be a big deal to hardcore hopheads but (right now anyway) I don't think I'd enjoy anything that was more bitter than this.
