Yes they are, but what are you drinking? ;)

How is it? That's been held up in TABC purgatory and has yet to show its face here. I have a '13. Might drink it soon.

Very good! It certainly benefits from a bit of age, but you really cant go wrong with this beer. Certainly worth the price.

First homebrew club meeting in the bag. Less organized than I thought it would be. Had a good Free Will Coffee Oatmeal Brown, then a bunch of homebrew that ranged from undrinkable to very good.

Thank god we have him here to teach us about @internet #stuff.

Now if only @somebody would teach him how to do #this thread #right.

Had a margarita, now having a Dales Pale Ale. I overlook this beer a lot and forgot how good it is.

Cuppa coffee. I am on a mission. I found out last night that I know somone without a sense of smell. I wonder what the best beer would be for them would be. Probably not an Belgian or anything hop forward. Maybe a sour or something malt centered?

That's exactly how ours go haha everyone shows up eventually and drinking takes place the entire time. More bad beers than there are good, but the good ones make up for it. You will learn to take smaller pours of stuff you arent sure about.

Last year this described our club to a T; fortunately we had a gut-check meeting last spring and have turned it around so there is actually some "education" part to the meeting and then beer sampling. The good thing is at our club the good beers outnumber the bad (and most of time the brewer knows that the bad beer sucks and just wants feedback on what might have gone wrong.)

Been awhile since I've been up to see ol Mr Klubb off to work :mug:

Of course you were headed in the opposite direction from BK, right?

Coffee ... sometimes the short weeks seem like the longest :(

As the 'new guy', I didn't really speak my mind about some of the stuff that was passed my way. High(low)lights included a paint thinner melomel and a howler that was labeled on the glass as an IPA but on the cap as 'Yeast Wrangler'. What was inside, I have no idea, but I got a clean glass after that pour.

There was some vague talk about getting a club barrel going though, so I'll stick around for that at least.

I refuse to join any clubs around here. Always seems like old farts trying to get away from the wife. Plus I talked to one when i just started brewing he was a pompous a$shole.

New kettle & burner should come today if all goes well, have a lot to think about now. Too many brewing related things that is. I don't have time to be at work, but alas...

Auto-pilot activated.

On the quaffi. I have an ear/nose/throat appointment today. Always had restricted breathing through the nose. I wouldn't say I have no sense of smell, but it is severely hampered most of the time. I think my palate would be much better if my breathing were to be fixed. Had surgery to clear it in 8th grade and it was amazing how things tasted...for a few months. I can taste stuff, but I feel like the volume is turned way down, most of the time. I would think that being completely without a sense of smell would pretty much destroy the ability to taste though. Remember the old experiment? Blindfold a person and plug the nose. Have them take a bite of onion and a bite of apple and they usually can not distinguish between the two. Let us know if you get to do some beer tests!
