Time to get busy on some funky fresh beats

The last of my hb hoppy wheat. I brewed it at the start of summer. I really hope that doesn't mean fall is around the corner. I hate pumpkin beer

Coffee ... watched a movie and then fell asleep after the Lost & Found :(

Have my dark grains cold steeped and am roasting the butternut squash and sweet potatoes for my pumpkin porter I'll brew later this morning.

I'll go back through the dozen pages of sloppy Saturday I missed when I'm brewing.

Coffee...slept late. Rained late into the night last night...good sleep. Today, I'll rack my little batch of Cherry Belle Citra Saison and, judging from the soda bottle, pasteurizing my peach-pineapple tepache earlier than I thought.

I've done nothing yet. Coffee, water, and a kale/beet/pineapple juice blend. Kind of in that order.

I should brew today but I doubt I will. It's kind of late to begin.

Yum! I'd love to try that if you're willing to give away a bottle. I'll give you something in return whether HB or commercial. :)

Water. After finally getting off my ass and passing the BJCP entrance exam. Next stop is sitting on wait lists and driving however far I have to to take the damned tasting exam.

Figured a flavored porter was the best thing to start with as I wait for my strike water to cool down to mash temp (oops!) for my pumpkin porter.

And 8 pounds of roasted butternut squash and 3 pounds roasted sweet potatoes ready for the mash too!

Looks good. Didn't you use real pumpkin last time? I used canned pumpkin and added spices to it during the roast (in oven). I would double the spices from the last time I brewed my pumpkin.

I can't believe fall is almost here. I went from brewing a ton of pale ales, IPAs, wheat beers and other light stuff to now making some dark beer recipes so I can brew and have them ready for when fall hits. ****.

No, I've just used the canned pumpkin before - so now I'm ramping it up. I liked the spice level I had last year, except for the vanilla which you couldn't really taste. I think going with 8 beans will fix that!

That's some gourmet **** right there.

Woke up at 1pm after tending bar last night and serving myself too many times. Coffee.

Ok, long-time lurker of this thread, finally jumping ship for a night and posting on here instead of BA :) I've only had 2 beers over the last 3 weeks (Founders Porter & Stone Coffee Milk Stout), so when this hit my lips... it was like catching up with a long-lost friend for the first time.

Out of all of the beers I've had from across the country, this is still one of my all-time favorites.. simply outstanding! Next up, (and surely I'm breaking an unwritten rule here), a sample of my take on FBS, after a week in the secondary with Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean, fresh roasted coffee (by a friend), Cocoa Nibs, Bakers Chocolate, cinnamon stick, and cayenne pepper (2 grams). Brew day and secondary pics here.

"Mexican coffee cake"

This is freaking nuts... 2g of cayenne was exactly the right amount! Just the perfect amount of kick on the back end, but by no means a "pepper" or "hot" beer. This is going to be fantastic once its bottled and kegged!

Welcome to the thread (a little late - I'm one of the ancients and can't stay up as late as these bomb drinking youngins!) We all lurked before diving in so no worries there. That HB stout sounds awesome - great mix of adjuncts!

Mash is done ... finally!

Ugh, can't shake this feeling. Maybe a Bloody Mary is in my future. Woke up at 1pm and feel like taking a nap.
