HB Peanut Butter Stout (was going to be a coconut stout, but decided to switch it up). Tastes great -- that Brewers Best extract is amazing!

That's no lie! I've done powder, real PB and that extract. Real PB was the best tasting, but a PITA. I've done French Toast Stouts with their extract (Maple/Vanilla) also. Top-notch stuff!

Let's see if Thirsty Paws can remember how to brew. Why not start off with a 11% Belgian Quad?

Used hamburger buns have usually been passed thru someone's digestive tract. I hope these were not "used" in the normal way.

Brew on :mug:
I meant "used" by, I bought the hamburger, didn't eat the bun, and then saved it to make the beer. I was eating low-carb at the time. I should have been clearer!

I really don’t know how you get more traditional than this. Hacker-Pschorr is one of Germany’s great brew houses, proudly since 1417!

As a merged company from the Hacker and Pschorr Brauereis, Hacker-Pschorr produces one of the finest Helles biers on the planet! Wow, what a malty, true-to-form Helles this is. If you want one that defines what Helles about, this is the one. Continental!

Hacker-Pschorr produces Munchner Gold, their 1516 Reinheitsgebot-compliant beer from their flagship in Munich. As one of the handful of Munich-produced and allowed beer producers for Munich Oktoberfest celebrations, these folks REALLY know what they’re doing! Nice head, decent lacing and SUPERB clarity! All I have is one more thing to say…. Chug!

Here's an odd ball. My youngest gave me a bottle of Absente last month. Well, trying out his recipe. My grandpa Bum in Lincoln always had a bowl of licorice in the house, 1970s-80s. This reminds me of those good times...all those decades ago.

Love me some absinthe. I like to do the traditional louche, with the ice water drip and sugar cube on a slotted spoon.

Keep that bottle in a dark place or it loses its nice green color.

I must have missed it, what are you brewing today?

I've got a pale just about to start bubbling.

Finally decided on a 10% Belgian Quad. Mashed overnight while the yeast starter was doing it's thing. Mostly concerned about the heavy weight with my calf but managed to figure out ways to minimize lifting. Thanks for a asking! 🍻

Tried a preliminary bottle of my HB whiskey faux oaked RIS. Carbed 3 weeks. Very good aroma, good flavor, a little rough around the edges. Gets nicer as it warms in the glass.

I put the 2 cases of bottles in the crawl space to age a while. By end of year should be just right. If I can resist the urge to sneak a bottle once in a while. :p

Put it in my crawl space, then you won't have the urge, it'll be safe there. Promise..

Seriously though I started re-insulating my crawlspace like 10 years ago, still have a bunch more batting to put up and vapor barrier... I hate it in there, don't wanna go back in there, probably end up paying someone to finish it hahahha.
