Almost finished with the new chicken run, got wife's soon to be "new engine" on the engine stand to start the rebuild, pulled the wheels off my 4runner to rebalance before our trip to obx this weekend, and built second step yeast starter in the 5L flask for a hopeful brewday on the 4th.. now time for a all day ipa, wanted to get the telescope out, but maybe tomorrow.

Well I did the Japanese Lager tour a while back and more recently Light Lager beers - then this Kirin Light shows up on the shelves. A great opportunity for an addition to both, but rolled into one!

Kirin Light is a very light beer, reminds me a little of Coors Light watered back with about 25% fizzy water. At 95 calories per 12 ounce, it is light – Also interestingly, it is rated at 3.2% ABW (Alcohol By Weight) rather than the more common ABV (Alcohol By Volume) which works out to about 4% ABV.

The rest is very common to a lot of light Lagers, very clean and crisp, a great drinker with food. I usually like to order Japanese beers when we are hitting the sushi bars. とても爽やかです !

Getting a to go order at Champy's Famous Fried Chicken in Daphne (great chicken, cool vibe, friendly folks!). They cook everything to order so having a frosty Pacifico while we wait. I haven't had this beer in a long while and really enjoyed after spending the day unloading and working on unpacking our stuff. I'll have to try it more often.

I wouldn't....you don't know this team like I do. If you like the yanks, keep watching.
I do like the Yanks, started watching them when they were bad, back in the mid/late 60's. But the last few years my wife has turned into a rabid fan....screaming at the TV and all that. Not sure what started it. :)

Hey, not a bad summertime beer!

A hot summer day and a cooler full of those on ice was a staple back in the day 'round here. Even better were the ponys. Those ice cold 7oz bottles went down just a bit too well sometimes. LOL.

I still do that on occasion, and enjoy it.
Oh, it’s good beer. I’ve drunk many in my day too, but compared to the two Schwarzbiers earlier, I much prefer the Schwarzbier.
I just made a yeast starter for a NEIPA that I hope to brew Sunday.
OT
Coffee for now
