This tonight after an exhausting whirlwind of a day.
We lost our oldest dog today. She was almost 17.5 years old and we knew her time with us wouldn’t be for much longer. Thankfully it was quick and she was surrounded by her family of two and four legged members.

Thank you, @Hoppy2bmerry for introducing me to a new drink! I had never heard of this before and was surprised when I searched it to find references from tape to a Scope and Scotch mixed drink!🤮 When I added "hot" to the search things got better! I'll definitely try this with my next brew.

Fair enough, I recognize that you're an experienced negotiator.

What about the hat? It's fetching. I also have an unmarked 3/4lb of hops that have been living in my freezer for at least eight years, if that sweetens the deal.
The straw hat? Deal! I'd even throw in a few bottles of hb.

Edit: I'm under strict rules placed in my prenup that I can't trade certain items including cars, dogs, children, or wife. But there is nothing in there about hats.

A glass of the ordinary bitter I kegged on Tuesday while I clean up after a brew day. Included in this remarkable photograph is my very own Prof. Bramling Cross' Finest Kind Patented Hooptie Home Beer Engine for Expeditious Homebrewers of Reputable Moral Hygiene. I'm all about the strictest adherence to traditional methods in my brewery.

I've been the only person holding the fort in a group of one for the past 6 months against a party of six.. Making good progress but we've had our moments. Keeping my patience and visiting local breweries help. The cavalry arrived 3 weeks ago. A buddy I've known forever joined the team. It will be good to have another voice. He never loses it. Today he lost it. In engineering this was a sadistic good day.

Celebratory beers. Pizza ran out :(

Curiosity 142 (left) Very Pink (right)

Curiosity One Hundred Forty TwoHoppy Lager

6.4% ABV
Curiosity 142 is a 6.4% lager aggressively hopped with Citra, Amarillo, and Nelson. It contains all of the bright hop character you would expect from a modern translucent West Coast-style IPA with the smooth body and texture of a Tree House lager. It's wonderful and hits the spot on hot days like today.
Very Pink

Very PinkIPA - Imperial

8% ABV
Having earned its place in our core lineup, it only made sense to amplify Pink’s unique profile. With an elevated malt base and judicious hop regimen, the potential of this new varietal continues to reveal itself. A confectioner’s dream, Very Pink explodes with notes of bubblegum, sweet fruit, and sugared grapefruit. Underneath this canopy we taste additional flavors of ripe mandarin and summer berries. Much like a sampling of exotic candies, this hop is at once familiar—yet singularly intriguing. Our infatuation with this unique varietal continues to grow, and once you take a sip we think you’ll see why. Enjoy!

Today I’m taking it easy with a Bud Zero, 0.0% N/A lager. This has become my go-to diet beer lately.

I’m getting ramped up to drop another 15 lbs in the near future, so I’m getting my head wrapped around the idea I need to drink more of the lighter beers and less of the heavies.

When I needed to quickly get into excellent shape because of the kidney donation thing I tackled the problem by buying a Kolsch stange. It's basically a highball glass (my apologies to the entire city of Koln for the grievous slander). That became my new beer portion...well, mostly.

Additionally, having decided that any ape could throw barley and hops at a recipe until it tasted great, I punked out of the IBU/Imperial Wars rather early and started exploring the 1.035-1.045 gravity band as a new brewing challenge. I've never looked back! It's so much fun trying to coax tiny little beers into delicious things that punch way above their weight. In that respect, I was lucky that I had a fairly wide portfolio of wee little beers to brew. If that interests you, feel free to shoot me a PM. I have recipes and ideas that I'd be happy to share.
