Vicksburg, MS, Key City oatmeal stout. Nice coffee bitterness but less body than I'd expect in an oatmeal. Still, a good beer.

At Strangebird Brewing Company.
Strangeburner & BARREL FERMENTED MASSIVE SPIRE (sorry for the caps & copy & paste). Followed but a 12oz Fest Beer Milk Tube (not pictured) then a Midnight Priestess & Infinite Cosmos (strawberry & kiwi). Also not pictured a sample of Bird Light Yuzu.

A pint pot of ordinary bitter while watching tonight's thunderstorm annihilate all the waxing and detail work that put into my hairdresser's car this morning. I'm not complaining, we really need the rain and it's just part of living in the Mid-Atlantic. It was nice while it lasted and it gives me an excuse to spoil it again tomorrow morning.

Hot summer sun requires IPA - lots and lots of IPA! What better hoppy thirst quencher than Firestone-Walker’s Union Jack!

7 % ABV, three “C” hops in the boil, a dry hopping with four more, plus Amarillo and Simcoe. Easy to drink - Have a bunch of these and you’ll need to Uber it back to your pad… It’s a classic!

Blackberry white ale shared with my son. No detectable blackberry or witbier character by my son (who has a great palate and I didn't tell what the beer was) or me (looking for it). Looked at the bottom of the can... one year old.☹️ It wasn't a bad beer, just not what was
expected. Brewed in NOLA.

God awful tropical tonight.View attachment 854711
.
You, sir, are correct. Washed the car at 6.00am this morning and came in around 7.00 am to switch out my gear for waxing and had to change my shirt. With that done, I then changed my shirt again before going out to run errands. The humidity today was absolutely stupid.

Drinking my last bottle of this batch of blonde ale. It earned a third place in its category at my county fair hobby homebrew contest. My Czech Pilsner got a 1st as well as Judge’s Choice award. And my dunkel got another 1st and People’s Choice. Pretty happy with the results.

Coffee this morning as I’m up with the new puppy. We decided our pack needed a third dog b/c it hasn’t been the same all week since losing Bella. I finally tired her out so I can sit, enjoy coffee and watch some of the Olympics this morning.
We wanted to rescue a dog from a local shelter. Unfortunately our now oldest dog is a rescue (Charlotte) who’s very selective around other dogs. We knew it would be a lot of work and may only lead to issues that never go away when a lot of the dogs at the local shelters say they are best as a single pet in a house. So a puppy would be the best way to introduce a new dog to our pack. So far it’s been going really well and Charlotte (our selective dog) loves playing with the puppy and is so good with her.
Coffee from the Dream Bean coffee shop in Grand Marais, MI (roasted in Traverse City, MI). Nice light roast, fruity, clean and slightly acidic. Perfect as my home roasted beans have time to off gas.

Cheers to the new pack member!

Now it's time to go for some beer swapping shopping

Late brunch before they turn these into tacos. NH businesses are doing an eat local for the month. Most breweries around here do unhealthy foods. You laugh but id have this everyday. However, you put a fried chix or onion rings in front of my face I'll eat it.

Supporting NH and Maine bluefin Tina platr

With a N/A Notch (Mass) Hazy. Not bad. Can pour. A little metalically but aroma and taste is good.

That haddock corn chowder sounds delicious. A nice sized serving of that in a sourdough bread bowl on a fall afternoon and I'd be very happy.
