My wife has been researching our genealogy. My whole family is German or French on the German bother. Maybe explains my enjoyment of Saisons!?!?

Genealogy is really cool as long as you use reliable resources and can verify your findings. Sometimes, while maybe very elaborate and exciting, some family “stories” aren’t always right. My mom has been doing research for many years. She has been to quite a few seminars and visited the Mormon library in Salt Lake City several times. She also belongs to numerous online sites. She has verified several lines of her side back about 12-14 generations to the late 1500s. DNA is also a very interesting animal itself. My mom, 2 of her brothers, 2 of my sisters as well as myself have all submitted our DNA samples and you’d be surprised how different the results can be between full blood relatives. Good luck in your research.

Agreed! Reliable resources are key and I’m sure my wife would agree. She has been to the research center in SLC and presented at Rootstech in SLC recently. Because of her my DNA is “on file”!

No pics but watching movies (Boondock 1&2, Quietman, Michael Collins) drinking a 5g of Irish red, Guinness Foreign, Irish cream and Irish whiskey. SWMBO and I go "big" each year for one minor holiday and one event each. Big food and drink on those days. Hers are the Oscars (she's a big movie buff) and St Patrick's. I'll be cooking up some bangers and mash with bacon cabbage later.

My days are the Super Bowl and 4th of July, both with plenty of bbq and seafood along with plenty of home brew and bourbon. Nice thing is outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas, don't have to really celebrate other holidays (like Valentines day), though I do brew specifically for many holidays.
