Hands down. Thickest stout I've ever had

Got 2 bottles from a cow-orking fellow stout enthusiast -- last year's Expedition Stout. Tastes exactly like I remembered it (too "ashy" from black malt), which I thought it would have mellowed a lot more, given that it's been sitting in a bottle for over 12 months. Adding a splash of bourbon didn't help very much. Still, I'm gonna drink the whole glass!

Ended up staying in Cape May tonight to trap and tag some raptors tomorrow (couple of these Belgium's)

Please, if you catch any Osprey, treat them kindly. I've spent too many days watching Osprey going about fishing the hard way only to have their hard work squandered by a freeloading Bald Eagle.

If you can, please give them a fish. They deserve it. For their entire lives they've only had fish taken from them. It would be nice if, just for once, someone gave them a fish. They have it coming.

Found a craft beer shop in the streets of Hanoi (Vietnam) selling this rice beer.

I had it on my way back to the appartment, so no picture of the color.

In the first sip, until it's completely on the tongue, it tastes like a 'normal' Helles (whatever 'normal' means exactly), but a slight sweetness quickly comes through and then the flavour of brown rice.
It wasn't very bitter, a minimal hint of a sour taste, and there were no particular hop flavours to be detected.
In my opinion: delicious and a great experience.

I enjoyed watching this one a few weeks ago, loafing in a dead tree in a park near San Diego. Beautiful bird. If I was thinking about it then, would've brought him some sardines. :)

Kegged this hazy Monday, still carbing and maturing but wow, high hopes for this once it's ready. Citra, nectaron, superdelic. Crappy pic, better ones to come.

That's the same hop combo I've been thinking about doing. What ratio and amounts did you go with? I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts as it matures.

2:1:1 citra:nectaron:superdelic
1oz per gallon in wp
2oz per gallon in dh

Citra was lupomax but calculated as standard.

I get citrus upfront followed by lots of sweet fruit and berries, aroma fills the room and flavor is incredible, a couple days in the keg and it's already impressing me, I think another day or 2 and it should be fully carbed and really shine.

I brew very few ipa's but I'd like to change that. So I have another question for you. RE: your wp hop addition. The 1oz per gallon, is that based on the wp volume of wort in the kettle, or based on your predicted amount of bottled/kegged beer?
