Cheers everyone. My last glass of HB until February 19th. Taking the kids to Disney World and a few other adventures starting tomorrow.
HB chocolate milk stout
Been absent for a little while dealing with family stuff. Anyways, hb double neipa, kegs gotta kick soon.
2016 smooooth
Ekuanot Enthusiasm, an ipa from Silva Brewing in Paso Robles. Chuck Silva used to be the brewer at Green Flash in San Diego but moved back home to Paso a few years ago. I don't know what it is about ekuanot hops but all I ever seem to get out of them is a minerally, chalky taste.
HB Foreign Export Stout. It’s nearing the end of the keg. Two things indicate this...
1. It tastes awesome
2. The keg is very light

Just HB strawberry booch.
2 yr old Blackberry Melomel. Semi dry with slight carbonation. It just keeps getting better.
Indigo Yum. Sampling some wild honeyberry. I planted a couple of bushes a year ago. High produce but wildlife enjoyed it before I could make a mead. This year is war.
Does this mean I should start delivering hard liquor
I'm finally getting tastes and smells back around normal now, and I caught Covid almost a year ago. Don't believe the hype, @grampamark it will come back. Not everything will taste like mud forever!!
Onto dessert after everyone is in bed. This is straight juice without being thick purée & it’s delicious!!

This is one I really wish I could taste. A White Stout. It’s supposed to have a pronounced coffee flavor but, to me, it had more of a chocolate taste. Not surprising, I suppose, as everything I’ve read about, or been told by docs, is that sweet flavors are what most folks with Covid impaired palates can taste. Long Covid sucks.

The kid seems to have good taste in beer.
Not really a morning beer for me since I just got off a 12 hour shift. It’s a bedtime beer.
A beer never tastes better than at 5-7am after a long overnight shift. I enjoy the hell out of that every 2 or 3 weeks.
8.7% Helio Gazer fermented DIPA with Phantasm whirlpool and dry hopped with Strata, HBC586, and a **** ton of Nelson.
HM cider with FAJC added
100 Spires. A very nice Czech Style Lager from There Does Not Exist in San Luis Obispo.

I used Lupomax hops in this beer and I think they are more harsh than regular T-90 pellets. Not as mellow and juicy.

HB NEIPA, dry hopped with Citra Strata and Nelson. Great hop combo, it’s bangin. Poor fluorescent garage lights lol
Welp, we've hit 1.030 on this crazy Imperial Porter journey! Amazed at how clear the beer is, I could read the numbers on my hydrometer in the sampling tube. I have a good feeling about kegging this weekend for a little more conditioning. 
Happy Friday! Celebrating with a new one from Zero Issue Brewing, called Titan. It's a Black Currant / Key Lime sour at 6.9% and it's purple! More sour lime than 'Key' if that makes sense, but very tasty and the biscuit is coming in more as it warms. Cheers folks!

The name is Gloria! pilsner from Block 15 brewery. I rate it world class. If we could get really fresh German beer here, I think the Deutsches Bier would probably win. But this local beer is tops.
