I don't do that crossfit stuff to make myself feel accomplished. Kipping = cheating. All the way up, all the way down.

SWMBO made coffee. So, I'm drinking it. I'm sleepy as hell.

Amen. Mic drop

No Big Whoop Numbskull Brewing (American lager, hb)

Don't understand that sideways pic. Sometimes it's normal. Other times it's like this. Wtf, right?

I just cracked open the first bottle of a batch of barleywine, 4 gallons, partial extract, equal weight maris otter and pils dme (because the guy at the LHBS said it was fine), starting OG > 1.100, 2-3 oz of english hops (enough to put it into the english barleywine IBU range), aged for almost 6 months before bottling. We didn't get it carb'd like I wanted (bottle conditioned) but it tasted ok for a first try at barleywine. Its a little on the sweet and still side, but I enjoyed it.

Brutal work schedule for me this week. Then I found this awesome box from @Remmy when I got home. Thanks bud! Finally the Hag!

3 month old dark sour sample. PH is definitely dropping, funk is there but pretty subtle so far. Normally I wouldn't even check yet, but it's my first pressure fermented sour. Also pressure may have gotten a wee bit high despite daily venting... I now smell like sour beer.

Vodka ceaser. 2nd one. Was a pretty rough day for me today. Probably was 15 deep last night, uncle kept feeding me beer.

..Stone Ruination. Good stuff.

Before that I had the last one of the 3 bottles of Chimay I got in that sampler pack. The Blue one. Wow. Smooth for all that alcohol. I'll bet that one would have been so much better aged. I liked it, btu the white was BY FAR my favorite of the 3. No contest. Ever since I had that white one, I've been trying to find a recipe similar to it so I can brew it this summer. That was outstanding.

I just tried the Grande Reserve Ale Chimay (blue label) and it was delicious. Very smooth.

Currently polishing off my batch of a Dunkelweizen and an oatmeal stout. Hoping to get my first IPA started next week.
