Haha I was over at the psych center next to buff state.

Oh yeah, that is by my place.. also, the coolest building in Buffalo and my favorite architect H.H. Richardson. Absolutely love that place.

I need to get stuff to start brewing outside. Probably when I do my taxes.

I definitely won't be doing it until some of the snow is gone and I got all my new equipment, unfortunate. If you ever want to set something up, I'm free every weekend. My gear and I'll buy ingredients... your water :cross:

I love blood orange gose, but will say it isn't the most exciting thing I found on my porch today.

I think I under delivered on a trade.

Good lord...

A little disappointed. Logged in to check the scores for my porter and it got a 23. Obviously looking forward to seeing the judges' comments on the score sheets.

Considering entering it in another upcoming comp just to see if it was a fluke or if the feedback is consistent.

@nukebrewer how did your Flanders do?

Yeah, the hh Richardson complex is pretty damn cool looking.

I think outside brewing will have to wait until I clean out the garage, as the amount of gasoline in there right now might make for a bit of a fire hazard haha. Definitely in the next couple weeks I'll be good to have an outside brew session. Down to drink some beers one of these nights. I just kegged a beer and need to dry hop my other batch.

More coffee.

Dang, always sucks to have a beer score lower than expected. Did you enter the regular version or whiskey version?

It is absolutely glorious at night, especially if you've had a few...

My grandmother told me stories of how when she was young and it was still in use, she would walk by and see patients shaking the cages and yelling. Crazy.

Not sure if you caught it, but tried Community Beer Works brown ale, The Whale last night. So delicious. I definitely need to visit them and see what they're all about.

Got me some fancy tomato/basil soup and water.

The regular I think was better than the whiskey. The regular was one of the better ports Ive had. Had the amount of roast that you want and was very easy drinking. The issue with comps is how the judges interpret the style guidelines. Im sure stick to them exactly while others go by how the beers tastes comparatively.

@finsfan really though, suit or not, they're killing Ox with this because it is undoubtedly costing them money to defend themselves.

Yeah twitter is ridiculous about this. They probably just don't even look at it now.

Yeah, but it will be showing off to their loyal fans how big of jerks they are being. Bad press. You have to give Old Ox some extra respect for sticking up for their brand and being willing to fight them. Hopefully they only end up ahead when all is said and done.

She wanted me to watch Gone Girl with her, but I feel like I've seen it already due to my boss absolutely beating us over the head about the book at work. I'm big into the history of Dracula and was pretty excited for this new interpretation but it was just not gritty and raw enough.

Wait. Are you saying that Gone Girl is a Dracula book? I though it was some sort of modern time runaway bride type of story.

well, this is just Red Bull redbullsh!t. "fair agreement" my a$$

it all started with Old Ox's original logo. Red Bull complained about it, so Old Ox changed it to their current one. Understandable, perfectly reasonable and Old Ox complied before they opened. When changing the logo did not constitute a large financial burden.

then Red Bull came back and demanded Old Ox change their name, not use the color red and to not make any soft drinks.

Old Ox would only promise not to produce energy drinks. Red Bull responded with the suit.

Old Ox has been more than reasonable, but Red Bull wants more than just a "fair agreement"

Looks to me that if anyone it would be the Chicago Bulls that could complain about their initial logo. Still freaking stupid.

Thats it. I am going to have to make a trip out there this weekend.

Bell's two hearted with lunch. Holy **** work is slow this week. Not that I am complaining :ban: Much better thank going the constant speed of light.

It's crazy that a complex that awesome looking was used to house the mentally ill. The cages on the outside of the buildings and having outside stairs is nuts. I definitely want to tour it when they open it up for visitors.
Still haven't tried much from community beer works. I'll have to get down there soon.

Cherry coke on an appointment.
